How much effort would you make for someone you loved?

How much effort would you make for someone you loved?

Would you wait for them every night for dinner? Would you go to the bus station everyday to pick them up from school? Would you defend them in rooms they’re not present in? Would you show patience during their worst seasons? Would you remember the small things — how they take their tea, what makes them anxious, what comforts them? Would you drive in traffic just so they wouldn’t have to come home alone? Would you wake up early just to pack their lunch the way they like it? Would you slow your pace so they wouldn’t feel rushed or left behind? Would you respect their boundaries, even when it disappoints you?

Or

Would you —

Make the continuous effort to go and see them, each and every day, no matter which city, country or town they are in, even if it means climbing up and down steep and narrow staircases, even when you are 82?
